WITHOUT HORIZON

“Formula Horizon” – the theme of the 2018 Symposium offers and encourages artists to view the horizon as a component of the surrounding landscape and as the main unit of measurement of space, and as the main orientation of world outlook. The horizon poses new questions in identifying changes not only in space, but also in complex changes in the art of the environment and changes to the approach of the artist’s work.

For some time, the author of the project watched the creative process of the participants of the symposium and their attempts to delineate, discover, interpret the “constituent of the surrounding landscape”. The artist came to the conclusion that the best solution for understanding the meaning of the horizon is his loss. The loss of the horizon, as a symbol of loss of faith, stability, aspirations and illusions.
