TRACE

Slices of ice in the hand pressed to the surface of the wall, during a slow motion left a wet track. The ice melted, the water flowed down. The action lasted until all the ice had melted.
Then the performance continued without an artist. The wet trail gradually dried up to disappear completely. The surface of the wall turned to its former state.
One gesture was the result of the artist’s interaction with space, material and time. The performer has left trace of arm as a sign of his presence – a sign of presence at the moment.
This performance was also performed at the VII Festival of Performance “Only Four Things” (Tychy, Poland)
